Being a God Encounter

This is a testimony from a new church plant in Homestead, Florida, who has been using the Firestarters course to help them cultivate and sustain a revival culture. These guys are serious about living naturally supernatural.

So God has been doing some AMAZING stuff in the area of reconciliation, and I’m not just talking about making up after a spat, I’m talking about He’s reconciling relationships that had been shattered for years where there was great pain and hurt…even in the place where a husband SHOT his wife! She was in the hospital with a very high fever and something strange going on with her blood. After a “FIRESTARTER” prayed with her and walked her through forgiveness, the fever broke and no more blood problems!!! It was after praying, that our revivalist found out the the other man standing in the hospital room was the husband who had shot the wife…ONLY IN SO. FLORIDA!!! Also, the son (the one who asked our friend to pray), in seeing how God restored and healed his mom, asked Jesus into his heart. He called our friend (the firestarter revivalist) and said that since that day he got saved, he has not had one anxiety attacks or seizures!

Supernaturally spurred on in Spokane!

I was just doing a conference at the Healing Rooms in Spokane, Wa. with Cal and Michelle Pierce, their team, and a lot of hungry people who want to impact the world with the Kingdom of God. Following is a letter I received from one of the Healing Room leaders. It was encouraging to me – I hope it is for you as well.

I believe the impartation you brought resulted in radical change in several people I know; I’ve seen at least half a dozen people walking in a new level of the supernatural since you spoke at the Healing Rooms. As in healings, words of knowledge, and prophetic utterances on a scale they haven’t seen before.

Revival Lifestyle School

We just had an amazing week equipping, empowering, and activating about 300 people to be revivalists – world changers and history makers. We taught them how to prophesy in a naturally supernaturally way, to heal people through the presence and power of Jesus, and to share the good news of great joy in the way we have encountered it ourselves.

Each day of the school, we encouraged the participants in the school to leak out God’s tangible manifest presence to the people around them at lunch or dinner. We had many reports of people being healed, encouraged through prophetic insights, and set free – some asked Jesus into their hearts for the first time!

While one group of the Revival Lifestyle School was coming back from lunch, they encountered a woman in a wheel chair. She was on her way to get an MRI because of the constant pain she had in her back, even though she had been through many surgeries. She told our revivalists in training that the doctors had installed metal rods in her back to stabilize her spine, but it had not helped – she was still so debilitated that she could not walk. After a short, simple prayer of declaring God’s goodness, the woman was so healed that she jumped out of the wheel chair and began jumping around exclaiming that she was healed. Her family finally pushed the empty wheel chair away as the woman walked behind them praising God.

Finally, at the end of the week, we did an “Encounter the Fire” service in which we had invited people who needed an encounter with God in healing breakthrough, hope, or restoration in their life. Many people were healed, encouraged through prophetic words and art, encountered God’s presence i a powerful way. We had about 15 people get saved that night, and about 30 people were baptized in response to what had happened that evening!

God wants each of us to have an encounter, so that we become an encounter, so that others can have an encounter. That is what being a revivalist is all about. Each one of us is destined to be a world changer as we live as revivalists every day, wherever we go, to whoever we meet!

Small but Mighty – Firestarters in Tucson

I received this email from a woman in Arizona who decided to launch a Firestarters course in the community as an outreach.  What a creative idea.

Hi Kevin: You had asked for an update on how Firestarters was going. We’re about half way through. There’s three of us that have been consistent, but I’m not letting the few numbers stop me. The people that come are made up of my clients and former clients. This one man I’ve known for over a year. He has had a big problem with meth and alcohol most of his adult life. He’s around 42 or so. He lost all his teeth, has long scragly hair, and generally looks like a homeless guy. We love him dearly. And he really loves the Lord. The meth pretty much “cooked” him plus having some ADHD issues. He could never finish a sentence. His mind constantly was racing, and he had this massive spirit of jealously. He talked non-stop and sometimes so fast and disorganized you could hardly follow him. His testimony is this – he told us last night that because of the Firestarters bible study, something happened to him he couldn’t explain. All the jealously just suddenly drained out of him and he no longer obsesses. He’s thinking clearer. From our point of view, his whole countenance has changed and people are remarking about this. Moreover, he finishes his sentences, speaks slower, and makes sense now. He said, of Firestartes, that it is the best bible study he has ever been in. He’s of Pentecostal background and has been serving the Lord for 25 years (in between the meth and alcohol use – but has always wanted to stay with the Lord.)

Just wanted to pass this along to you. Oh, and he’s out starting his own fires. He’s always prayed for people in the past, but he does it even more now and sees results. He’s never heard of laughing as an outward manifestation of God’s joy, but get this. He laid his hands on a guy last week in the halfway house he lives in, who promptly doubled over in joy and laughter for several minutes. Nobody there quite knew how to take that. When he came back and told us about it, we had to explain it to him. So yeah, amazing!

Firestarters is Blazing in Bath, England!

Hi Kevin – I just wanted to update you on the success of our first
Firestarters Course we completed in December of 2010.

We had 16 people who completed the course and an amazing time together.
The momentum grew from day one and there was such a sense of expectation
as we gathered each week.
We prayed for each person as they came through the door (Bethel style!)
and often many of them would begin to engage with or be overwhelmed by the
Presence of God even as we were meeting for refreshments!

A number of people were physically healed during the course and two of our
women particularly got the Treasure Hunting ‘bug’ and have been going out
into the City together regularly ever since. They have had some amazing
encounters with people. On one occasion they felt the Lord was showing
them to go to the railway station platform to meet someone there. It’s not
possible to get on the platform without a rail ticket these days so they
asked a rail worker if they could go through the barrier. When he asked
them why, they said they were going to meet someone and when he asked who,
they just said “This might sound strange, but God has told us we are going
to meet someone on the platform” and he replied “Oh, come on through
then!” A story began to unfold based on the clues they were given and they
ended up ministering openly to a young woman who was working in the
platform cafe!!!!! She wasn’t a believer but was totally blown away!

Kebab Restaurant Revival

Following is a testimony from one of our former School of Supernatural Ministry students now living in Germany.

On my treasure map I wrote down these clues: that we were going to meet 4 teenagers at a certain Kebab restaurant. Also, one of them would have a Turkish name starting with the letter “M”, and they all would encounter the power of God.

We went to the particular restaurant I had in mind, but nobody matched our clues. As I tried to think of what to do, I saw that there was another kebab restaurant across the street. As we began walking over there, we saw 4 teenage guys sitting in front of the restaurant. We approached them and started talking to them.

One of the guys who was most interested ended up having the Turkish name,”Mahmed,” which matched the clue on my treasure map. I prophesied over him about being a teacher. He freaked out because that had always been his dream. As I was sharing with him I got a word of knowledge for pain in his right knee. He said that he had pain in his right knee. Then I remembered that I had written down “right knee” as a clue on my map.

I was showing my list to the guys, as 6 more of their friends showed up at the restaurant. I went on to tell them what had just happened, and how God was about to heal their friend’s knee, and that they should come and watch. I then prayed for Mahmed’s knee, and he got completely healed right in front of them all!

Then, his Muslim friend jumped up and asked me to pray for his ankle and his blood pressure. I looked at my treasure map, and showed him that on my list next to “right knee” was “blood problems”. He freaked out, and started shaking under the power of God, telling me that he is getting goose bumps all over his body. I prayed for him, and he felt the power of God come all over him like fire. Then he sat down because he couldn’t stand under the power of God anymore. He then began to explain what was happening to his friends, who were all freaking out as well.

One of the guys started to mock the healing, and said it was just psychology and tricks. I could tell that he was very influential in this group, so I shared with the group that healing was only a bi-product of God’s love. It is an introduction to his goodness and an invitation to get to know him closer. He continued mocking what was going on, so I asked God for a WOK (word of knowledge) about him.

Jesus showed me that his relationship with his dad was broken. I also saw a vision of his little sister. I started prophesying to him that God was going to restore his relationship with his dad. I also told him that he was an amazing older brother because of how he looked after his sister, even when his parents didn’t. I told him that God wanted to use him like a prophet of love to his own family.

He started freaking out, and tears of hope started to roll down his cheeks. He asked his friends if they had told me about the problems he had with his dad and little sister. They claimed not to have mentioned a thing. All of a sudden, he was totally overwhelmed because he realized that we really did know and hear from God.

Another guy sitting in the restaurant suddenly said, “I’m an atheist, what is God showing you about me?” I didn’t have a prophetic word for him at the moment, but told him that I would get one for him. Instantly God showed me that he loves his musical creativity and is going to use it in mighty and supernatural ways. He began to share how he loved to play drums, but had to quit after he had broken his wrist because of the constant pain. He could still feel it popping when he moved it. I prayed for him for a few seconds, releasing healing on his wrist. Then, I had him test it out, and he had no more pain!

At this point my treasure hunt map was being passed around the whole restaurant because everyone wanted to know if God was looking for him or her as well. One young man called to me as he was reading the clue, “white t-shirt with blue printings on it” out loud, as he was looking down on his shirt with big eyes because that was exactly what he was wearing!

2 Muslims and 1 former Atheist got totally healed, and many more received accurate prophetic words. A lot of people were able to witness and experience what God had done. Some of them even gave their lives to Jesus within the next few days, and are now coming to church! PRAISE THE LORD!”

Cervical Cancer Healed Over the Phone

Following is an email from one of our First-Year Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry students:

“Last month, a friend came to Bethel to pray for her sister who was too sick to travel herself. She and her family had taken over an orphanage in Haiti, which currently cares for about 60 Haitian children. She recently became ill and had been diagnosed with cancer in her cervix, which spread to her lymphatic system. We got her on the phone, at which time, I saw Kevin Dedmon and explained to him the situation. As he prayed over the cell phone, I saw in the spirit like a movie being run backwards, all the darkness in her system being drawn to one place and shrinking away to nothing as heaven was released over her.

The next day, her energy level increased. That week, all the swelling in her neck went away. Her recent PET scan showed that she is completely cancer free, which totally baffled her doctors! Praise the Lord for His mercy and His love, which know no end.”

This was an interesting account in that this woman said that she did not even believe in healing, but was so desperate that she would go ahead and try it.  I explained to her that I often laugh when I release the presence of God in healing because “In His presence is fullness of joy….” I then asked her to put the cell phone on the body part where the cancer was originating, and that I was going to release the presence of God into that area.  Once she did, I realized that I was going to be laughing into her cervix!

How embarrassing!

Now I was laughing into the phone, not because of God’s presence I was encountering, but the embarrassment of the situation.  It took a few minutes to get the woman’s attention again, and when I did, I asked her if she felt anything!

Again, embarrassment once I realized what I asked!

By this time, I figured that this encounter was a lost cause, and gave the phone back to the first year student.  The next week, however, I got this email.  God often works in mysterious ways!  When we take risk, even on accident, His presence and power is released to change someone’s life forever.

Brain Cancer Healed

Kevin, this is Bob from Ohio. I met you at a Firestorm Conference at Pleasant Valley Church. I received healing there. I’m the 35 year old that had the brain tumor, spinal problems, blackouts, etc. You also took home the cane that i no longer needed after the healing.  Well, everything is still great.  My walk with the Lord has grown stronger, and I have a wonderful personnel relationship with God.  I’m very involved with several churches in my area now, and looking into Bible Schools to enter the ministry, since I owe God my life, and know some of His plans for me.  PRAISE YOU JESUS!  Well, I just wanted to let you know how I’m doing, and to thank you.  I want to try to have one of my churches schedule a conference of yours in the near future.

This man was healed when I called out a word of knowledge for brain cancer.  I invited him up on to the stage and began to release the presence of God on him.  He had a neck brace on, and needed help to get up the steps to the stage.  He needed a cane to stand with because he could not keep his balance without it.  He had severe pain in his head and neck.  The tumor had affected much of his body, leaving him riddled in pain.

As I began to laugh, declaring the goodness of God over his body, he threw his cane against the wall, which was about 50 feet away, took the neck brace off, and began jumping around the stage completely healed.

I saw him six months later at a Supernatural Lifestyle Conference that I was doing in Cleveland, Ohio, and he told me that the tumor had dissolved, and that he was in perfect health!
