Being a God Encounter

This is a testimony from a new church plant in Homestead, Florida, who has been using the Firestarters course to help them cultivate and sustain a revival culture. These guys are serious about living naturally supernatural.

So God has been doing some AMAZING stuff in the area of reconciliation, and I’m not just talking about making up after a spat, I’m talking about He’s reconciling relationships that had been shattered for years where there was great pain and hurt…even in the place where a husband SHOT his wife! She was in the hospital with a very high fever and something strange going on with her blood. After a “FIRESTARTER” prayed with her and walked her through forgiveness, the fever broke and no more blood problems!!! It was after praying, that our revivalist found out the the other man standing in the hospital room was the husband who had shot the wife…ONLY IN SO. FLORIDA!!! Also, the son (the one who asked our friend to pray), in seeing how God restored and healed his mom, asked Jesus into his heart. He called our friend (the firestarter revivalist) and said that since that day he got saved, he has not had one anxiety attacks or seizures!

On this past Friday during my prayer time I declared that that day was the day I was going to cross the chicken line and be a God encounter to someone! And I asked for a divine set-up. Later that day, while in the gym I saw a young lady that I had met 3 wks. earlier. She had told me she suffered from residual side affects of having had CAT SCRATCH FEVER and that her knees would swell up and hurt from time to time, causing her to not be able to work out and do other regular household chores. The whole time I was working out I could here God’s voice asking, ‘ARE YOU GOING TO PRAY FOR HER? ARE YOU GOING TO BE A GOD ENCOUNTER TO HER?!”

When I finished my workout, I couldn’t stand it! I went looking for her and found her. I told her that ever since I had met her that God had been telling me to release healing on her knees and that I hoped she didn’t think I was crazy, but could I pray for her. She not only said, “I don’t think your crazy,” but also said, “and YES, PLEASE pray for my knees!”

Well, long story short, ALL the pain in her knees COMPLETELY disappeared in 45 seconds! PRAISE JESUS! Then she tells me that she’s a Christian but has been frustrated because of not ever EXPERIENCING God. The day before, she had just read the scriptures where Jesus told the disciples that they’d do even greater things than He had done. And then she told God, “I haven’t even been seeing the stuff that Jesus did do, let alone the GREATER things. God, is anybody out there seeing this stuff? I want to know them!!!” Then she says, “This has been a total ‘SET UP’”!!! hahahaha!

The funness is on the increase! We love what God is doing in Homestead and just had to share and brag on His goodness!
